‘What a ride’: Despite elimination, Canadians proud of effort at World Cup

What a ride it’s been.

From an incredible qualifying run, to a head-turning effort against No. 2-ranked Belgium, to the nation’s first-ever goal at a men’s World Cup: there’s been a lot to cheer for during Canada’s odyssey.

And although Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Croatia has eliminated the Canadians from knockout-stage contention, it didn’t stop fans from expressing their support for the team.
