Using pros and poetry, Bensky Belizaire delivers a talk about the importance of knowing one’s own cultural history. Combining a personal narrative along with a brief history of the nation of Haiti, the talk covers multiple areas in hope to inspire others to learn more about themselves and their past. Bensky Belizaire is a junior at Queens College, where he is majoring in Economics and serving as the president of NABA (National Association of Black Accountants). He is of Haitian descent and recently decided to combine his love for his country and culture, with the depth of poetry to introduce a new narrative for people to speak.
